Overview of Formats

PDF
Portable Document Format

This vector format can be universally displayed on any computer with Adobe Acrobat (or another PDF viewer). It allows editing at the level of the source file, so it can also be sent as a format for printing. Most programs (graphic, presentation) can handle it as well.

SVG
Scalable Vector Graphics

This is a vector format of the logo primarily intended for online applications (websites). With the advent of high-resolution monitors, this format ensures perfectly sharp display without loss of quality, regardless of the display device.

EPS
Encapsulated PostScript

This vector format can be opened in a wide range of production programs (Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw), which is why it is often used by printers and manufacturing companies.

PNG
Portable Network Graphics

This format is intended for lossless compression of raster graphics on the internet. However, since it is still a raster, it is necessary to pay increased attention to the final quality of the logo rendering.

JPGJPEG
Joint Photographic Experts Group

Using the JPG format for the logo is only possible if there is no other option. For example, the European Union Intellectual Property Office requires this format, so send your logo to your patent attorney in this format.

AI
Adobe Illustrator

The AI format is mainly used by designers/graphic artists. It allows full editing and deployment within Adobe products.

AFDESIGN
Affinity Designer

The native format of Affinity Designer program, which serves as an alternative to Adobe Illustrator. It allows vector editing of the logo and full preservation of all layers, effects, and editing options.
